Kamila Bland Recognized as ARH Pillar of Excellence Recipient

Kamila Bland of the Dietary Department has been named a recipient of Alleghany Regional Hospital’s “Pillar of Excellence Award.” This award was designed to recognize staff members who distinguish themselves by providing exceptional levels of service and quality work, exemplifying the spirit of teamwork, achieving consistently high levels of job performance, and demonstrating exceptional levels of reliability and dependability.
 
“In her role in the Dietary Department, Kam is frequently the ‘Face of the Kitchen’ to ARH visitors and staff,” stated one of Kam’s peers in her nomination. “Kam is always pleasant, friendly, efficient and welcoming. She goes out of her way to find exactly what her customers want. To me, she epitomizes what customer service should be.”
 
Ms. Bland was presented the award during a special called meeting of her fellow Dietary Department employees. In addition to the recognition by her peers, Ms. Bland received a special award certificate and a gift certificate from the Cat & Owl Restaurant. In addition, Ms. Bland will have her picture displayed in the hospital’s main corridor under the “Pillar of Excellence Award” banner.
